Hikvision iDS-7116HQHI-M1/S – 16-ch 1080p Mini 1U H.265 AcuSense DVR
The Hikvision iDS-7116HQHI-M1/S is a 16-channel Turbo HD digital video recorder that packs a large analog channel count into a compact mini 1U chassis. Specifically, it accepts HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI, and CVBS analog inputs adaptively, and it also supports up to 24 IP camera channels when Enhanced IP mode is active. As a result, installers can cover a large site with a single recorder instead of stacking multiple units.
Meanwhile, deep-learning motion detection 2.0 runs on every analog channel by default, and it classifies humans and vehicles instead of reacting to every moving object. This, in turn, reduces false alerts caused by leaves, insects, or headlights. In addition, up to four channels support line-crossing and intrusion detection, which covers extended perimeter boundaries. Note that enabling motion detection 2.0 disables perimeter protection, and vice versa; the DVR runs only one at a time.
Furthermore, the DVR records full-channel at up to 4 MP Lite resolution using efficient H.265 Pro+/H.265 Pro/H.265/H.264+/H.264 compression, which keeps storage costs manageable across 16 channels. On top of that, the recorder outputs 4K UHD via HDMI, and a single SATA bay holds drives up to 10 TB.

Who This DVR Suits Best
- Large shops, malls, and multi-unit complexes – 16 analog channels in one mini 1U box cover an entire premises without stacking multiple recorders.
- Sites wanting a sharper local monitoring wall – 4K UHD HDMI output gives control-room screens far more detail than the 1080p output on smaller sibling models.
- Perimeter-heavy compounds and industrial yards – line-crossing and intrusion detection on up to 4 channels covers extended boundary fencing around large properties.
