Hikvision iDS-7104HQHI-M1/S – 4-ch 1080P Mini 1U H.265 AcuSense DVR
The Hikvision iDS-7104HQHI-M1/S is a 4-channel Turbo HD digital video recorder built for small sites that need reliable, budget-friendly recording. Specifically, it accepts HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI, and CVBS analog inputs, plus up to 6 IP camera channels when Enhanced IP mode is active. As a result, installers can mix analog cameras with a few IP cameras on a single recorder without buying separate hardware.
Meanwhile, onboard AcuSense technology brings deep-learning motion detection 2.0 to every analog channel by default. This means the DVR classifies humans and vehicles instead of flagging every moving object, which in turn cuts false alerts triggered by leaves, insects, or passing shadows. In addition, up to two channels support perimeter protection, giving line-crossing and intrusion alerts around fenced boundaries.
Furthermore, the DVR records at up to 4 MP Lite resolution using efficient H.265 Pro+/H.265 Pro/H.265/H.264+/H.264 compression, which reduces storage consumption considerably. On top of that, a single SATA interface supports drives up to 10 TB, and Hik-Connect enables remote viewing from a phone or tablet without complex network configuration.

Who This DVR Suits Best
- Small shops and offices upgrading from older analog systems – its 4-in-1 HDTVI/AHD/HDCVI/CVBS support lets owners keep existing cameras while gaining AcuSense false-alarm filtering.
- Compact residential or SME installations – the mini 1U form factor and single-bay 10 TB storage suit tight equipment rooms in homes, salons, and small retail units across Kenya.
- Sites needing remote monitoring without an IT team – Hik-Connect and DDNS give owners phone-based access to footage, which is ideal for landlords or shop owners checking premises after hours.
