Description

Hikvision DS-7104HGHI-M1/T – 4-Channel 1080p Lite Mini 1U H.265 DVR

The Hikvision DS-7104HGHI-M1/T is a 4-channel analogue DVR built for small installations that need budget-friendly, reliable recording. Specifically, it accepts HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI, and CVBS signals over BNC, so it works with mixed camera brands without a swap-out. In addition, it supports H.265 Pro+ compression, and as a result storage costs stay lower than older H.264 recorders at the same resolution. Furthermore, one analogue channel can switch to an IP camera input, up to 5 channels total at up to 2 MP, so a small site can mix analogue and IP cameras on one recorder.

Meanwhile, built-in deep-learning motion detection classifies human and vehicle targets on every analogue channel by default, which in turn cuts down false alarms from leaves, headlights, or shadows. On top of that, the unit takes a single SATA hard drive up to 4 TB, and its compact 200 × 200 × 48 mm mini 1U body draws just 10 W without a hard drive installed. Consequently, this DVR suits small shops, homes, and offices that need straightforward 4-channel coverage without the cost or footprint of a full-size recorder.

Who This Recorder Suits Best

  • Small shops and homes needing straightforward 4-camera coverage – for instance, the 4 analogue channels and single-HDD design suit sites that don’t need a large multi-bay recorder.
  • Sites mixing analogue and IP cameras on a budget – since one channel can switch to IP input (up to 5 total), it suits installers adding a single IP camera alongside existing analogue units without replacing the whole system.
  • Low-power, always-on installations – because it draws just 10 W without a hard drive, it suits solar or battery-backed setups and sites where minimising standby power matters.
