Description

UGREEN HDMI Switch 5 In 1 Out 4K@60Hz with Remote – CM568

The UGREEN HDMI switch 5 in 1 (model CM568, part no. 90512) is a five-port HDMI selector that connects up to five HDMI source devices to a single display, with manual switching via front-panel buttons or an included infrared remote control. It supports 4K resolution at 60Hz over HDMI 2.0 and is compatible with HDR, 3D, CEC, and HDCP 2.2. Consequently, it suits home theatre users, gamers with multiple consoles, and AV setups where a single TV or monitor must serve several source devices without repeated cable changes.

The five-port configuration is the primary distinction of the CM568 over the two-port CM217 also in this range. Where two-port switches suit simple dual-device setups, the CM568 accommodates a full entertainment stack — for instance, a PS5, an Xbox Series X, a Nintendo Switch, a Blu-ray player, and a streaming stick — all connected simultaneously to one television. Switching between them requires only a button press on the unit or a press of the numbered key on the included remote, with no need to access the rear of the TV or disturb cable routing.

Indicators, Remote, and Power

Five LED indicators on the front panel show which input is currently active at a glance. The IR remote allows source selection from across the room, with an effective range of approximately 10 metres and line-of-sight to the IR receiver on the unit. However, automatic input switching is not supported — the active source must be selected manually each time. AA alkaline batteries for the remote are not included in the box.

The CM568 requires USB-C power for stable operation, supplied via the included 1-metre USB-A to USB-C cable. A 5V/1A power adapter is not included and must be sourced separately or connected to a powered USB port. The ABS housing is compact and lightweight, designed to sit unobtrusively in an entertainment unit or on a media shelf.

Cable length note: To achieve 4K@60Hz, both input and output HDMI cables must not exceed 3 metres (AWG30). For 1080p@60Hz, cables up to 20 metres using 24AWG are supported.

Use Cases and Applications

Multi-Console Home Entertainment Setup

Home entertainment systems frequently accumulate several HDMI devices over time — a games console, a streaming stick, a Blu-ray player, and a set-top box. Additionally, newer console generations add further devices to the mix. The CM568 connects all five to a single television simultaneously, and the included IR remote allows the viewer to switch sources from the sofa without approaching the TV or the switch unit. The five LED indicators additionally confirm at a glance which device is currently feeding the display, removing any ambiguity during switching.

Home Cinema and AV Rack Installations

Dedicated home cinema rooms and AV rack setups often route multiple sources — a media server, a games console, an Apple TV, and a Blu-ray player — through a central switching point to a projector or large-format display. The CM568 suits this role due to its compact footprint, remote operation, and support for HDR and 7.1 surround audio pass-through. Furthermore, CEC support means compatible AV receivers and displays can respond automatically to input changes initiated by the remote, reducing the number of remote control operations required to change source.

Office and Presentation Environments with Multiple Source Devices

Meeting rooms and training facilities that connect multiple laptops, a desktop PC, and a media player to a single projector or display benefit from the CM568’s five-port capacity. Rather than physically swapping HDMI cables between presentations, each device remains connected to a dedicated input port. Consequently, the presenter or AV operator selects the active source via the remote or front-panel button in seconds. Moreover, the switch’s compatibility with Windows, macOS, and Linux source devices ensures reliable operation across mixed-platform environments.
