The Hikvision DS-7108NI-Q1/8P/M is an 8-channel Mini 1U NVR designed for small businesses and homes that need a larger camera count without added networking gear. Specifically, it accepts up to 8 IP camera inputs at resolutions up to 6 MP, and its 8 built-in PoE ports power connected cameras directly over a single Ethernet run per channel. As a result, installers skip the cost and complexity of a separate PoE switch.
In addition, the recorder supports H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264 compression, which keeps storage use efficient even with all 8 channels recording. Meanwhile, a single SATA interface accepts drives up to 6 TB, giving enough capacity for continuous multi-camera recording.
