Hikvision DS-2DE4425IW-DE(O-STD)(S6) – 4-Inch 4 MP 25X Powered by DarkFighter IR Network Speed Dome
The Hikvision DS-2DE4425IW-DE(O-STD)(S6) is a 4-inch 4 MP PTZ speed dome built to cover expansive, open sites from a single mounting point. Specifically, it uses a 1/2.8″ progressive scan CMOS sensor paired with a 25× optical zoom lens (4.8–120 mm), so operators pull in detail across long distances instead of installing several fixed cameras. In addition, DarkFighter low-light technology keeps footage clear after dark, and up to 100 m of IR illumination extends that reach further. As a result, this dome suits rivers, roads, and other wide-area sites where reach matters more than close-in coverage.
Meanwhile, the PTZ head pans a full 360° and tilts -15° to 90° with auto-flip, at speeds up to 80°/s. Furthermore, it stores up to 300 presets with 8 patrol scans and 4 pattern scans, so it can sweep multiple points automatically on a schedule. On top of that, the housing carries an IP66 rating with 6000V lightning protection and surge protection, and runs on either 12 VDC or PoE (802.3at). Note that this “no specific protection” model has no anti-corrosion coating, so it isn’t suited to coastal or high-salinity sites without an additional protective variant.
