The Hikvision DS-2CD1027G2H-LIU(4MM)(O-STD) is a 2 MP ColorVu fixed bullet network camera built for outdoor and general-purpose surveillance. Specifically, it uses a 1/2.8″ progressive scan CMOS sensor paired with a fixed 4 mm lens, giving a 94° horizontal field of view. As a result, it suits medium-range coverage of gates, walkways, and building perimeters. In addition, its Smart Hybrid Light system combines infrared and white-light illumination, extending supplementary lighting to up to 30 m. Because of this, footage stays usable in colour and black-and-white modes after dark.
Meanwhile, onboard human and vehicle detection classifies motion events instead of triggering on every moving object. This, in turn, cuts down on false alerts from leaves, shadows, or small animals. Furthermore, the housing carries an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and operates across a -30°C to 60°C range. Either 12 VDC or PoE (IEEE 802.3af) powers it.
Notably, this is the base LIU variant, not the LIUF version. Consequently, it has no microSD card slot and no reset key, so it depends on an NVR or VMS for recording rather than storing footage locally. Buyers who need standalone on-board storage should instead look at the LIUF(4mm) model.
