Description

UGREEN USB 3.0 Hub with USB-C Port 1m (Black) – CR113 / 40850

The UGREEN CR113 USB 3.0 hub with USB-C port expands a single USB port into four USB 3.0 ports at up to 5Gbps. The 2-in-1 host cable terminates in both a USB-A and USB-C connector, making it compatible with both USB-A laptops and modern USB-C machines without an additional adapter. A dedicated USB-C power port allows an external 5V power supply to be connected for stable operation of power-hungry devices such as 2.5-inch external hard drives. The 1m cable positions the hub conveniently on a desk away from the host machine.

Buyer Note: This hub is designed for data transfer only — it does not charge connected devices. When connecting iPads, tablets, or devices requiring high power input, the hub will sync but will not charge. For stable operation of 2.5-inch external hard drives, connecting a 5V USB-C power adapter to the USB-C power port is strongly recommended. The host USB port must be USB 3.0 for full 5Gbps speed — connecting to a USB 2.0 port limits all four output ports to USB 2.0 speeds.

Compatible Devices

Host devices (USB-A or USB-C):

  • Laptops and desktops with USB-A 3.0 output (Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS)
  • MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac Mini (USB-C models) via included USB-C host connector
  • USB-C OTG-supported Android tablets and smartphones
  • Dell XPS, Lenovo ThinkPad, HP EliteBook, ASUS ZenBook, Microsoft Surface series
  • Gaming consoles with USB-A ports: Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5

Connected peripherals (USB-A devices):

  • External hard drives and portable SSDs (2.5-inch — USB-C power port recommended)
  • USB flash drives and memory card readers
  • Wired keyboards and mice
  • Webcams and USB microphones
  • Printers, scanners, and USB speakers
  • USB headphones and headsets

Note: 2.4GHz wireless USB dongles and MIDI devices may experience interference at USB 3.0 speeds. Connect these directly to a host USB port if issues arise.

How This Differs from the CR113 / 20291

The CR113 / 40850 is the updated variant of the CR113 family. The key differences from the older CR113 / 20291 are the USB-C power input port (replacing the micro USB power port on the 20291) and full confirmation of the USB-C & USB-A 2-in-1 host cable. Both variants share the same 4-port USB 3.0 output, 1m cable length, LED indicator, and ABS housing.

Use Cases

USB-C laptop port expansion — For MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, or other USB-C-only laptops, the 2-in-1 cable’s USB-C connector provides a direct host connection, expanding a single USB-C port into four USB-A 3.0 outputs without a separate adapter.

Desktop tower USB extension — The 1m cable reaches from a tower PC under a desk to a hub on the desk surface, bringing USB ports within arm’s reach and eliminating the need to reach behind or underneath the machine for every peripheral connection.

External storage workstation — Connect multiple external drives for backup, media production, or data migration simultaneously. The USB-C power port accepts a 5V supply to ensure stable read/write performance for 2.5-inch bus-powered HDDs during large file transfers.

Home office multi-peripheral setup — Connect a wired keyboard, mouse, USB webcam, and flash drive simultaneously across the four output ports — freeing up the laptop’s native ports for charging or display output.
